On May 13 at approximately 4.33 pm as a result of heavy rains, mudflows flooded the houses in several villages of Batken region. At about 5.15 pm, the mudflow flooded two houses in Chimgen village as well as 15 houses’s yard were flooded.
In Isfana town a house and a children’s orphanage’s basements were flooded.
In Aksuu and Karakamar villages, mudflow flooded four kilometers of the road, carried away the cattle and demolishing two electric poles. Aksuu, Choyunchu, and Zharkyshtak villages were left without electricity.
Special equipment was used to eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
On May 14, Minister of emergency situations of the KR Nurbolot Mirzahmedov left for the scene.
