The Department “Selvodzashita” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter – Department “Selvodzashita”) was established based on the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic as of October 29, 1999, №587 “Procedure of maintenance and exploitation of the facilities ensuring protection against mudflows and floodings” and the Order of the Department of Water Management as of January 6, 2000, № 1.
The Department “Selvodzashita” was delegated to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter – the Ministry) based on the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic as of October 15, 2005, № 452.
The Department “Selvodzashita” is guided in its activity by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, laws and other regulatory acts of the Kyrgyz Republic, the orders and resolutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
