Historical background on the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Talas region
The Civil Defense Headquarters of Talas region was established in 1991; it was situated in the building on Moskvichenko Street 329 in Talas city.
In 2000 the HQ were transferred to another building on Lenin Street 370 in Talas city.
In 2009, a new three-story building of the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region with the Crisis Management Center (CMC) was constructed and equipped with a modern on-line communication system according to the Order of the Major General Kamchibek Tashiev, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 1991 to 2006 – the Civil Defense Headquarters for Talas region was operating.
In 2006, the region’s Civil Defense Headquarters were reorganized into the Division of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region and Talas city of the Northern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2009, the Northern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic was reorganized, and the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Talas region was formed.
Currently, the MES Division for Talas city, Divisions of Talas, Bakai-Ata, Kara-Bura, Manas districts and the Rescue Service of Talas city report directly to the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
