History of establishment of the Department for the Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic
The Directorate for the construction of protective facilities and rehabilitation works of the State Commission for Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic was renamed into the Directorate for the elimination of natural disasters’ consequences of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic by the Order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic№149 from June 18th, 1996.
The Directorate for the elimination of natural disaster consequences was renamed into the Department for Elimination of Natural Disaster Consequences of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic by the Order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense №193 as of August 30th, 2000.
The Department for elimination of natural disaster consequences was restructured into the Department on Prevention and Elimination of Natural Disaster Consequences through the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Ministry of Ecology and Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic” as of February 24th,2001, №59 and the Order of the Ministry of Environment and Emergency Situation of the Kyrgyz Republic as of March 19th, 2001, №75.
The Department was restructured into the Department for the Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic through the Order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations №511 as of December 12th, 2005.
The Department for the Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergency Situations (hereinafter – the Department) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic is a sectoral unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the area of organization of works on the prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations within the northern region of the country (in Chuy, Issyk-Kul, Naryn and Talas regions).
